Plot:

Kaneda is the leader of the gang Capsules. They rival against the gang known as the Clowns. When his best friend, Tetsuo, is injured in a motorcycle accident, his life changes. Through a series of scientific expirements, three people have special abilities. The one Tetsuo crashes into, gives Tetsuo special abilities as well. He goes through series of expiriments as well. The doctors find out he has similar abilities to Akira, an esper who destroyed Tokyo 31 years prior. Tetsuo eventually loses his mind. It’s up to Kaneda and Kei to stop Tetsuo from repeating the past.
